West Coast Logistics takes an active approach in creating a safe and harassment-free work environment for all employees. We promote continual safety education and training for all employees, assigning line responsibility for all aspects of the program, periodically reviewing the program to identify potential areas of improvement and ensuring a thorough evaluation of all incidents.

Deployment of a Behavior-Based Performance (BBP) process in all operations. BBP encourages people to change their behavior to achieve safer work practices, and greater awareness and concern for how our operations affect people, cultures and communities.
Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s) before performing routine or non-routine activities. Use the JSA’s as training review tools to sustain continuous improvement in operations. Perform Fundamental Cause Analyses (FCA) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) to evaluate near misses to avoid incidents from occurring.
West Coast Logistics’ Hazard Observation Program successfully uses peer review and support to promote a safe and efficient workplace.
We will share HSE best practices with customers and other contractors, require all subcontractors and suppliers to meet our standards, and capture ideas that we learn from others. We enthusiastically participate in our clients’ contractor safety seminars and workshops.
We will evaluate and address the HSE impact of our operations, target areas to improve and where possible reduce activities that present the risks to the environment, our physical assets and our employees.
We carefully screen and randomly test our employees to encourage healthy life styles on and off the work site. We value diversity in the workplace and foster an inclusive, harassment-free environment wherever we work in the world.
